Are you ready to get out of the cold weather and into the beautiful Florida Sunshine?  Why not visit Southwest Florida?  The beaches are beautiful white sand and the sunsets are to die for.  But choosing the right destination can be daunting.  There is Anna Maria, and Holmes Beach in Bradenton, Siesta Key, Lido Beach, Longboat key in Sarasota, Venice Beach, further south Sanibel Island, Fort Myers Beach, Bonita Springs and Naples.  And each city has its own appeal.

Anna Maria Island in Bradenton has a charm of its own.  You won’t find fast food restaurants and high rise condos on Anna Maria.   Anna Maria has 7 miles of beautiful beach, great restaurants, shopping, and all kinds of vacation rentals.  Looking for a condo, cottage or home to rent?   Check out www.annamariaparadise.com or www.islandreal.com .  These two companies offer a huge list of beautiful homes and condos and have a super friendly staff.

I cannot say enough about Sarasota.  So much to do and so many wonderful places to stay, eat, and play.  Longboat Key has many wonderful vacation rentals as well.  They also have the beautiful Longboat Key Club resort right on the beach.  Enjoy tennis, golf, the beach, spa, and 3 wonderful restaurants.  If you are ready to be pampered this is your best bet.

Lido Beach has wonderful resorts like the Helmsley Sandcastle, Holiday Inn, and Lido Beach Resort.  Wonderful places to bring the kids and stay on the beach.  This is just a minute away from St. Armand’s Circle with great restaurants and loads of shopping.

Downtown Sarasota offers The Ritz Carlton and Hyatt Regency.  In downtown Sarasota you can enjoy shopping, restaurants and performing arts.  Check out the Asolo Repertory Theatre, Golden Apple Dinner Theatre, The Players Theatre, and the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall which features, music, dance, theatre and comedy.  Enjoy the outdoors at Island Park.  This park is along the bayfront and has a lot to offer.  There is a children’s playground, an area for pets, beautiful walking paths along the water, and fine casual dining eateries too.  This is a great place to relax and enjoy Sarasota life at its finest.

When visiting Sarasota you must visit Siesta Key Beach.  Siesta Key Beach has been voted the #1 beach in the country by Dr. Beach.  Siesta Key has powder white beaches, and crystal clear waters.  Enjoy kayaking, a scooter ride, and biking.  Siesta key Sports rents all of this and more.  There are many vacation rental places in the area check out www.floridarent.com or www.siesta4rent.com for homes, condos, and cottages.  Looking for a quaint, beautifully decorated condo across from Siesta Key Beach?  Check out our house at the beach http://www.vrbo.com/337573 .  Siesta Key also has the quaint village with shopping and great restaurants.  On the Key you will find Captain Curt’s, Clayton’s Siesta Grille, The Cottage Restaurant, Siesta Key Oyster Bar, and many more wonderful places to eat.
