Sarasota Mom and Dad Time

by | Jul 4, 2011

It’s finally time for your family vacation.  You begin to plan things around what the children would enjoy.  Do we spend a week on a beach in Florida, or in the mountains, or in Orlando at the theme parks? There are so many choices to make.  The ages of your children will factor in those decisions as well.

Traveling with your children can comprise such memorable times.  I still to this day remember all of our family vacations.  My parents always took us on vacation.  I remember the fighting with my sister in the car and the constant question to my parents, “Are we almost there?”  But more importantly, I remember those wonderful times spent together as a family enjoying Disney, Sea World, exploring the mountains of North Carolina, and the list goes on…

As I look back I often wonder if my parents could have used time for each other on those vacations as well.  They both worked so hard all year, along with running my sister and I around to school, activities, and so much more.

While they wanted to spend family time on vacation with us, didn’t they deserve some time with each other.  They’d put their heart and soul into taking care of us all year.

Does this sound familiar?   Could you use a quiet dinner out, or a few hours to play tennis, go shopping, enjoy a quiet dinner, or other adult time without the children?   Does seeking out a babysitter while on vacation seem a bit scary?  Well, it need not be.  Most hotel and resort concierges have babysitter referral services in their area.  A referral service has a list of babysitters that should be trained, Background screened, and CPR / First Aid certified.  These are important things to find out about the company.  You can also check for childcare babysitter referral agencies online.  Finding a local referral agency is best because the sitters at these agencies are typically known personally by the agency.

Elite Family Care serves the greater Sarasota area.  Elite Family Care is professional in every way.  Our Babysitters undergo nationwide criminal background screening, they must be CPR / First Aid Certified, go through an extensive personal interview, and have childcare experience.  They are prepared to entertain your children with games, arts and crafts, and other age appropriate activities.  In fact we personally match the babysitter to your children.
